I can cook! Who knew?!?

I have never been much of a cook, but I am a dyed-in-the-wool Gordon Ramsay fan... I bought this app just before our 20th anniversary to surprise my lovely wife (who happens to be a WONDERFUL cook) by making a full-on anniversary dinner for her. I chose a recipie that made me work my butt off and made me learn quite a few things about cooking, and it came out great! Videos showed exactly how things were supposed to look and how thick the sauces were supposed to be... This was waaay better for me than pages and pages of writing or still pictures could ever be. I had a little difficulty finding substitutes for Charlotte poatoes and double cream, but made a couple guesses as to likely US equivalents, and the results were out of this world. Like I said, Im not a cook, but every bite of the entire multi-course meal was fantastic! Id have gladly paid much more than what the ingredients cost at a restaurant! Now, its on my bucket list to actually eat at a Ramsay restaurant! BTW, I have a 3g iPhone and the videos worked perfectly. Recipie didnt specifically say how to time multiple courses, but following the instructions in order made it all time-out just right. Great app, once you learn how to use it, just dont think you can run a recipie the first time through while youre cooking it!
